Happy New Year!

J has been sick since Saturday, which is made even more heartbreaking by his sweet demeanor despite his cold and cough and fever, oh my. Thankfully, he had a great night last night and seems to be on the way to the mending part. We've been traveling since Christmas, with a fun trip to Papa Joe's Farm (where Pa-pa Joe-o has a GAMMA! E-I-E-I-O).

It was warmer in the woods on Tuesday, so Papa Joe took J fishing. AB and I thought we should try it out, too. Following our fishing excursion, we had a little time in the barn on the tractor.

Now, to go back in time a bit (just a small bit), here is a glimpse at our Christmas morning. More will follow, if I ever have the time and/or energy to go through the rest of the video. (By the way, forgive the "mom voice" (mine) in this video. I need to remember not to talk).
