Video Fest

Our niece, Emma, had to have surgery today because of an abscess that was found on her tonsil. She has been sick for a while, but the doctors just ran the tests today that found the problem. About an hour later, she was in surgery...20 months old. Poor little critter. Consequently, I've spent J's nap time at the computer working on photos and videos, so that I can see update emails from my brother as he sends them from the hospital. Thankfully, the surgery went well and Emma is in recovery. The infection turned out to be more serious than it was originally thought, so she'll be in ICU overnight. I'm incredibly thankful that they've found the source of the problem, and I'm hopeful that it will be completely remedied soon. Pray for that sweet little thing and her parents, who are bound to be worried into knots. The fruits of my email-waiting-labor follow.

This first video was taken yesterday afternoon when we picked Daddy up from work to run out for a coffee. We hung out with Bridgett on Friday night, and she taught Joseph a little song while she sat in the car with him. (AB and I were birthday shopping in Toys-R-Us).

This one is J singing in the car on our way back to Daddy's office after lunch. He's singing "Deep and Wide" along with his Baby Bible Songs CD. It's amazing the music that you can get used to, as long as it keeps the kid happy in the car. He was singing it great and word for word until AB got out the video camera. But we still got some singing.

Today (04/16) Joseph and I went to the zoo with Missy, Abigail and other Joseph. The weather made it a *perfect* day to be at the zoo. And about 100 school buses worth of children thought the same thing. We almost lost my child in a creek at one point, but other than that, a couple of melt-downs, and one child in fetal-position out of fear, we made it. And actually had fun. Missy and I are coming up with names for the new badges that we get for today's feat. Here's video of the end of the morning in the Tot Lot.

A) I'm diligently praying for that sweet doll, Emma.
2) Should I ever run into copyright issues over "Hands out the Window...." I'll reference this entry in my authoring proof.
III) I melt when J. says my name...he truly has my heart.
